About Class One Welding

Welcome to my site and thank you for taking the time to check out my “about” page. I was a welder for many years and now am a full time, self employed webmaster. There is a lot of information on the net about welding already but I thought it would be fun and hopefully helpful to some if I provided some of my own information and experiences about the welding career field. My name is Matt by the way.

I have worked as a pipe welder, fabricator and wrought iron ornamental fence fabricator/installer over a number of years and learned a lot about different industries. I also have an associates degree in welding and fabrication technology from a well known welding school. I also have a great love of history and have spent some time learning the blacksmith trade.

I hope to bring all these experiences and more to Class One Welding.
