Other Welding Training In New York: Welding Apprenticeships
A welding apprenticeship can be a great way to earn while you learn! The ironworkers Union and the boilermakers Union both offer excellent apprenticeships to anyone that is wanting to learn new skills in the construction industry.
Apprenticeships can last anywhere from 4 to 5 years long and you will be paid from day one. Wages for apprentices can range from anywhere between $15 per hour to $24 per hour. After you complete your apprenticeship you’ll be a journeyman. Journeyman’s wages can range between about $26 per hour two $33 per hour depending on what geographical location you work out of.
During your apprenticeship you will learn many new skills including welding, rigging, pipefitting, crane signaling and a host of other interesting things that are industry specific.
