This welding school offers two different programs. You can either earn your Associate’s Degree or take a shorter program and receive a certificate of achievement. Having a degree is not necessary to become a welder but it can be helpful to have in the future when applying for management positions. If you intend on ever going back to school in the future having a degree will also allow you to be able to transfer those credits in some cases.
The welding program covers all of the common welding processes including stick, MIG, TIG and flux cored welding. In addition to hands on welding training you will have in classroom learning about welding codes, weld testing and blueprint reading. Pipe welding, plate welding and metal cutting processes will be covered also. You can view a full list of welding classes here.
